Pixel Smash

Developed for the course "Interfacce grafiche e programmazione ad eventi" @Università della Calabria
The game has been developed using basic Java code and the JavaFX graphics library using basic assets.

In this project me and my
team mates developed an Arena Brawler (Super Smash Bros - like) game in which I made the character design, art, game mechanics and some programming.

Gameplay
In the game you can choose between 4 different c
haracters, each of them different in abilities, speed and power. The player can choose between 2 different modes: boss rush (a series of 1 vs 1 matches) and Arena (4vs4 match). The overall gameplay is similar of "Super Smash Bros": the player need to deal as much damage as he can to the enemies to throw them outside the ring and gain points.
The player that has less deaths / killed the most wins the match.
A Multiplayer mode (through LAN) and an in-game editor to create Maps are included.


State of the game
Playable (compilation needed) - Sadly the executable is not working anymore, to run the game a compilation is needed (we suggest Eclipse to do that), then everything is working, multiplayer too.
